The TIE Phantom was created during a top secret project by the Empire to create cloaking technology. The project was foiled by the two rebel operatives, who managed to stumble upon the project. Since that time, the design basic design for the TIE Phantom has been given to Blazing Eagle Technologies. While it no longer has cloaking technology it is still a good fighter that is comparable to the TIE Interceptor.
